Lutranic ultra (also known as LaseMD Ultra) is a non-ablative 1927 nm thulium fractional laser that rejuvenates skin from the inside out by creating microscopic thermal zones. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production with minimal disruption to the skin's surface, leading to smoother texture and more even tone.TheLutronic Ultra

is highly versatile and considered safe for all skin types and tones (Fitzpatrick I-VI) year-round. You may be an ideal candidate if you are looking to address:TheLutronic Ultra

  • Pigmentation: Sun damage, age spots, freckles, and melasma.
  • Texture & Aging: Fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, and mild skin laxity.
  • Scars & Lesions: Acne scarring and actinic keratosis (pre-cancerous lesions).
  • General Health: Candidates should be in good health, not pregnant or nursing, and free of active skin infections in the treatment area.

Post-Treatment Recovery Timeline

Recovery is generally quick, with most patients returning to regular activities within 1–2 days.

  • Day 0: Skin feels warm and flushed, similar to a mild sunburn. Redness and slight swelling are common.
  • Days 1–2: Skin may develop a dry, "sandpaper" or "coffee ground" texture as microscopic crusts form.
  • Days 5–7: These crusts typically slough off naturally, revealing brighter, smoother skin.

Essential Aftercare Instructions

To ensure optimal healing and prevent complications like hyperpigmentation, follow these guidelines:

  • Moisturization: Use a gentle, cream-based moisturizer frequently to keep the area hydrated. Avoid heavy ointments unless specifically directed.
  • Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+daily for at least 20 days. Use hats or umbrellas for additional physical protection.
  • Cleanse Gently: Use a mild cleanser and your fingertips; do not scrub or pick at the crusting.
  • Avoid Actives: Stop using retinols, AHAs, glycolic acids, or alcohol-based products for at least one week.
  • Activity Restrictions: Avoid vigorous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs for 72 hours to 1 week to prevent increased blood flow from aggravating redness.
  • Makeup: Wait at least 24–48 hours before applying makeup, or until flaking has subsided.
